went out yesterday with a one day window to deer hunt, work has been killer hours and had otherthings i needed to get done, so i alloted myself this one day to go out....drove to the black hills, in northern wyoming ( the only deer areas open) got into national forrest land, found a good place to park the truck, away from any other vehicles, looked around as i was putting on my camo....desided to walk up this oak covered ridge to look around. once on top i put my face into the wind, and started slowly walking and glassing, i didnt go 100 yards and i hear crunching in the i took my rifle off my shoulder....looked in the scope and seen this small 8 point whitetail, figured i might not see another deer or i could come across a monster, but still took the shot....he was in the brush so a head shot was all i had, made good on the shot, but i wont post any pics due to the graphic nature of i will when i cut the skull cap off... no its not a booner, but it will eat good
