New Bow for this season

I'll be hunting with a new crossbow this bow season after all my back trouble the past year and a half
bought a Barnett just to see how i like hunting with a crossbow if i like it i'll look at a better one for next season

You'll like it TD, just like a gun. Billy and I had 2 hortons that we used when it was below zero. I traded one last year for a brand new in the box mossburg 20 ga. A guy won it in a raffle and wated a crossbow, still have 1 horton Legend>

The only thing I don't like about the Barnett is the nock on the bolt is flat...or use to be. With the Horton they are concaved and shaped like the string to give you more consistantcy

Crossbows are nice up here when it's freezing cold. When you have so many layers on that you can barely draw a bow, a crossbow comes in handy. I used one up until I was about 13 and could actually draw the minimum 40 pounds that Ohio requires. Haven't used one in a few years though.
