We are seeing a ton of deer, but I'm being picky until the season winds down (Feb), after a huge buck that I had under my stand before daylight........it's just a matter of time. It is nothing to see 14 deer in one sitting, not ready to fill my buck tag unless it's the big one.

I like to get my meat deer out of the way first then kick back and wait for the big boy to come out.

I'll nail a doe soon, there are so many deer on the property we hunt, I could shoot as many as I wanted every day if the tag system was like Alabama, 1 per day. We still have meat in the freezer from Billys doe last year so we are good for a little while,

I finally got the wife to come around to eating venison. She was against it until this year, when I showed her it can be delicious with no gamey taste if it's prepared right. I've been taking a lot of it to work with me for my lunch. I lost about a quarter of mine from the two deer I shot due to my compressor in one of the outside freezers going bad. Didn't even know until we got a day above freezing up here.

My wife would not eat deer when we first got together, or she would not eat much. Then when the kids got to where I fixed it for them and they would always ask for me to fix it to eat, she came around it's a lot in the handling as well as cooking.
