Vacation

Postby 13Point » Tue Jul 03, 2012 3:05 pm

We are on 2 week shutdown at Ford for summer vacation......gonna be a long one for me. I just built another barn and was finishing up the metal roof, and me always being in a hurry I fell off the roof and broke my tibia (shin bone)! Worked until I couldn't walk and Billy came over and took me to ER. Cast and crutches right now, have to go to doctor thursday, hopfully he'll put a walking cast on me.....one of these days I'll learn to slow down.

Yep your right Jim, going to Doc at 1:30 hope he puts a walking cast on me. Billy broke a broke a bone in his leg playing foorball and I carried him to his tree stand every night after school. .... guess it could be worse.

Went to Doc yesterday and didn't go as well as I tought it would! Had to go to specialist, more x rays and he found 2 more broken bones, cast and crutches for 4 weeks, then a boot if Im lucky. Oh well Sh%& happens, but it is 97 degrees here today and this cast was driving me crazy, spent a lot of time in the AC.

I saw on the news the heat made it up your way. last week I set a thermometer outside at work, cement walls and parking lot it was 126f .While baling hay in the fields the ac in the tractor barely keeps you from sweating and it is hot when you must get out and work on the equipment. The cast would drive me nuts.

Its funny how you raise and help your kids all through your life then all of a sudden they are helping and raising you! He's a good kid and helps when ever I need him.
